CEO of Havas Yannick Bolloré wishes our Chinese colleagues a happy and prosperous celebration as they share their hopes for the Year of the Rat.

This Saturday, January 25, marks the beginning of Chinese New Year, an important celebration for our colleagues in Havas China. Yannick Bolloré, CEO of Havas, said the wonderful work carried out in China this year is something that the Group can take pride in. “As the Year of the Pig makes way for the Year of the Rat, I’d like to say how happy and grateful I am for all the promising achievements we’ve made on the Chinese market and with our Chinese clients over the past few months. With this in mind, I’m looking forward to the opportunities that 2020 will bring both in China and elsewhere in the world. I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all my dear Chinese friends and colleagues. Here’s hoping for a prosperous new year for all—one filled with success, health, and much happiness.”

To mark the start of an exciting new year, six of our Havas China colleagues share their advice, hopes, and dreams for 2020.

Dennis Potgraven, Chief Strategy Officer, Greater China

“My resolution for 2020 is to excel with MBi (Meaningful Brands Index), our new strategy framework. This new framework builds on our expertise and massive research background in China and provides massive insight into how to build meaningful brands. With MBi we are able to make it happen for our clients.”

Wonka Zhang, Senior Account Executive, Havas Shanghai

“This year I would love to take my fluffy friend to Quebec, if my paycheck allows! If not, I hope to take him to a different city in China for a short vacation. I also want to take a three-day canoe trip with my friends, and get a new tailored suit from my tailor. In terms of my career, I want to get promoted or get a raise.”

Denie Yang, Senior Account Executive, Havas Shanghai

“This year I’m going to work hard, play harder, and read the hardest!”

Belle Zhang, Personal Assistant, Havas Shanghai

“I hope everyone has a great Year of the Rat. I hope that you all become rich and that all your dreams come true! May you have abundance this year.”

Kevin Guo, Account Director, Havas Shanghai

“This year I want to exercise more and read more books. I also hope to visit our headquarters in Paris in 2020.”

Stella Mao, Talent Acquisition Manager, Havas Shanghai

“My advice for the year ahead would be—don‘t think too much, just do it!”
