The initiative, which offered a platform, support, and sponsorship to entrepreneurs within the Village aims to nurture business owners within Havas and tighten bonds between people.

Can you tell us a little bit about the Havas Entrepreneurs Circular Support initiative and where the idea came from?

This initiative was born within our HR team from the desire to offer support to our community. Thousands of people in Argentina became unemployed last year due to the severe economic crisis that only became worse during the pandemic. Some Havas families were having a tough time. We know our people have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and we had the commitment to bring our community closer and support them with different initiatives. One such initiative was Havas Entrepreneurs Circular Support, which is a sustainable initiative through which employees and their families were given space to share their businesses with our Havas community ahead of the holidays, when everyone was buying presents for their loved ones. This allowed them to reach new customers and raise the profile of their family businesses during a tough time. The entrepreneurs were supported by Havas, who created a platform, sponsored the delivery cost for all sales and offered free advertising space on Facebook, as well as training in that area. On another level, the initiative gave us the opportunity to learn more about our colleagues and their stories, while at the same time presenting an opportunity to buy nice gifts from small business owners.

Can you tell us about some of the Havas Entrepreneurs involved and their businesses? 

More than 30 employees and their families from all across our Village submitted their businesses to take part in the program. Entrepreneurs that make candles, clothes, toys, food, art and even kits of sustainable party decorations all took part! Some of the businesses were born during the pandemic and became the main source of income for those families. Our hearts melted when we met Anna’s Delights, a granny who makes homemade food and started her own Instagram account for her business with the help of her granddaughter (a Media Planner on our team).

Why are initiatives like this so important to our culture at Havas?

They’re important because they allow us to get to know each other and forge bonds that can transcend beyond a screen. This motivates and engages and it can only benefit Havas. We want to grow and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit here! We have the chance to offer not only a job, but a community to belong to. Let’s keep on creating sustainable initiatives!
