Double Take
Double Take
Havas Dublin creates a clever campaign that lets viewers relive some of the best TV moments.
"The client challenged us to come up with something less literal..."
This ad is charming in the way it interprets the features of Sky Q; how’d your team come up with these ideas?
Initially, we presented a more literal approach, showing the Sky Q features in domestic situations. The client challenged us to come up with something less literal—and this concept fit the bill for their social strategy for making their content fun and engaging.
Any fun bloopers stories to share about the shooting of these spots?
No bloopers. The shoot went too smoothly. But because the spots were shot in Candid Camera style, it was fun watching the public’s reaction to these strange occurrences taking place on the streets of Dublin.
Which is your favorite spot?
What? You’re asking us to choose between our babies? OK, then. We love the “Skip Back to the Start” execution, which demonstrates how Sky Q lets you rewind instantly to the beginning of a soccer match—or any show, for that matter. We cast twins to repeat identical soccer moves on the street, much to the confusion of passersby.
What’s been the reaction to these ads so far?
Very positive. They’ve had a great showing on social media.
What does Sky Ireland hope viewers take away from this spot?
They want to entertain viewers—after all, they’re an entertainment brand. And they want to intrigue viewers into thinking about the new Sky Q offering and how it could work for them at home.
